Fancy Shmancy

December 31, 2015

One of my favorite things about New Year's Eve is getting all gussied up. I've never been one to shy away from an opportunity to wear a fancy dress and a pair of heels. Can you believe I found this dress for only $4 at Ross?

I love these shoes but sadly they literally kill my feet and the stiletto heel is so thin that it's near impossible to walk on. Nevertheless, they look cute and beauty is pain so...

Year in Review // 2015

Well, 2015 has finally drawn to a close. It's been a roller coaster, no doubt, but it's been a year full of laughter, love and adventure. I've finally been able to grow out my hair, which makes me happier than I am able to verbally express (okay, well maybe that's a tad dramatic,) work with some incredible companies, and even live in Virginia while attending college. I had the opportunity to meet ModCloth's founder Susan and even her beloved little pug, Winston. That picture of me in the navy blue and white dress? ModCloth designed that collection inspired from outfit uploads from me and a few other gals in their style gallery! Not gonna lie though, out of all of these photo shoots, the last one is definitely my fave ;)

What are some of your New Year's resolutions? 2016 is almost here, and I can't wait to see what adventures it brings!

Happy Wednesday, Ladies! Well, I thought it was about time to introduce you all to my handsome charmer, Jonathan. We had the opportunity to do a little mini session with Laura Sydney Photography yesterday at a historical site here on campus.

Speaking of which, how many of you uni gals are headed home for Christmas?

Home for Christmas

December 9, 2015

It's officially time! Finals week is wrapping up, and it's California time. Going home for Christmas is exciting, but also strange. It's amazing how long four months feels when you've been adjusting to a whole different life!

What are your girl's plans for the holiday season?

White Christmas

It's Christmas time! Pardon my excitement, but I have a bit of a love for Christmas. I'm sad to say it doesn't look like we'll be seeing snow prior to the 25th - not gonna lie, it makes me a wee bit sad. But I've been rest assured that January and February will bring more "winter magic" than I will probably care for ;)

Magic Eraser

Ladies, I'm back! So sorry for that rather long, unintentional blogging break! I had a few early finals and a fun little cold that hindered my blogging schedule a bit.

Today I want to introduce you all to a skin care product that I've been using for a few months now called Exposed Skin Care. For years I've been afraid to try products like Proactive because I always heard horror stories about your skin getting worse before it gets better. Exposed Skin Care is supposed to work very similarly. When they wrote me and asked if I would do a review, I figured now was a good time to experiment and see if it really works. Over the course of my treatment, I have definitely noticed an overall improvement. My skin did get worse the first week or so, but after that my blemishes diminished significantly.

In addition to a new skin care routine, I've found that diet really affects overall skin health more than pretty much anything else. Drinking plenty of water and staying away from sugary foods tends to be when my skin is at it's best.

Capturing Nostalgia

October 27, 2015

These are the kinds of photo shoots that make blogging exciting. I love being able to take time, play with the sun and capture images that encapsulate a feeling of nostalgia. Since I've been in Virginia, I've been so busy, it's hard to take pictures as much as I would like to. I miss shooting photo sessions!

Leaving Summer

The leaves are changing! I am so excited to see actual Fall colors this year. Outside my window the landscape has been slowly sweeping with color, and I can't wait to snap some pics when Virginia is completely gold and scarlet. Are you girls seeing signs of Autumn yet?
