Killin' It

Okay, yeah - that's kind of a lie. It's more like the semester is killing me - slowly and painfully. Maybe I'm exaggerating slightly, but heavens, this has been a rough few months. Being a full time student and a full time business owner really takes a toll sometimes. This semester in particular is heavy ridden with large creative projects that take up a lot of time. Let's just say I'm counting down the days until May. On the bright side, Jonathan and I got the keys to our apartment on Monday! We're already busy coming up with plans for the layout, and the latest news is that Jonathan has the know-how to build furniture (cue Pinterest scrolling).

I have been following your blog for well over two years now. Your posts have always been rather inspirational, but lately, your style has changed dramatically with an almost "punky" vibe, black hair and all. Christians come in all kinds of shapes and colours, yet is disturbs me to see the drastic change (ie from beautifully feminine ensembles to predominantly dark shades with a strong, almost "goth" vibe. I fear that college is taking its toll, and the message that your choice of clothing sends is no longer that of a Christian woman. Please, correct me if I am wrong!

With Love, your sister in Christ.

To "Sister in Christ"

What on earth is wrong with her clothing? I've been following Alex's blog for about three years now and have noticed the clothing style changes - there is nothing wrong with them! People grow and change. I would hardly call her style goth or punk and even if it was, that does not = darkness/satan/poor example. I'm seeing nothing but classy clothing here. She's an adult and gets to chose what she wants to wear, plain and simple. Stop being so judgmental and using religion as the excuse.

To Alex - You look wonderful, and as always, post some exquisite photographs. I always look forward to seeing your new posts. Good luck with your new place and enjoy college, even through all the stress and hecticness. It goes by fast though I remember feeling the same way!
