Back to School

In a sad turn of events, my wifi decided to go for a field trip into the land of nowhere last night. Yes, and along with it, the promise of a Wednesday blog post. At the very least, things are back and running today (yay)!

For a little update, I've been at college for a week now. I started classes on Monday, and so far I love them! I have some great professors, and I think it's going to be a pretty fantastic year. Virginia is stunning - even more beautiful than I imagined!

I'm kicking off my first week of University life with a back to school inspired ensemble. It's still a tad warm outside for a look like this, but rest assured I'll be pulling out this cozy Romwe flannel a lot this Fall. Nothing says Autumn more than a cute, plaid button down!

Well, it's official! Right now I am on a plane to VA! I'm feeling such a mix of emotions, but more than anything I'm so excited to see what adventures lie ahead.

I thought I'd show you girls a casual Summer outfit option - it has been so crazy hot in Cali over the past week or so. This blue button down is from Dresslink. I love the classic chambray spiced up with some polka dots and lace. And it retails at $7, so you can't beat that! I paired it with these shorts, which if you can believe, I found at Walmart of all places. I love them! I only wish they had more colors in my size.

Yesterday, I was so excited to edit pictures and get this outfit post out to you girls. My laptop, Charlie (yes I named him, don't judge ;), decided to die and furthermore, I realized that I left the cord at work overnight.... drat. Well, to make a long story short, I have a new ensemble to share with you :)

This lovely chiffon frock is from eShakti. How beautiful is this piece? I just love the polka dot detail. This is another customizable dress, so I was able to choose the length, sleeves and neckline! The one thing I am a little sad about is that the dress length isn't what I requested. I'm sure if I sent it back, eShakti would fix the issue, but to be honest, I'm just too lazy! On a good note, this dress is well made and perfect for Summer. Plus, it has zippered pockets!

Summer Beauty Favorites

Happy Wednesday! Today I thought I'd switch things up a bit and share some of my current favorite makeup products. The best part is that all of these can be purchased at the drug store for a great price!

FOR THE FACE
------------------------------------------------------
1. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Matte & Poreless - this foundation works wonders for creating a full coverage finish, while avoiding the infamous cake face. 2. Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer - this primer and the Fit Me foundation are a power duo - I love this primer because, unlike other primers I have tried in the past, it keeps my foundation from forming into lines on my forehead. 3. Wet n Wild Contouring Palette - this is the drugstore contour we've all been waiting for! It acts as a fabulous dupe for the Chocolate Soleil bronzer. 4. Wet n Wild Blusher in Heather Silk - stunning berry color blush in a beautiful matte formula.

FOR THE EYES
------------------------------------------------------
1. Elf Brow Kit - this kit is a must have! I've finally found my holy grail brow product, and the best part? It only costs $3. The formula stays in place all day, and fills in brows fast, making it the perfect on the go brow kit. 2. Wet n Wild Icon eyeshadow palette in Comfort Zone - this palette is the only palette I practically ever use anymore. The shadows are highly pigmented, shimmery and gorgeous! The palette sports shades that can take you from day to night for less than five bucks. 3. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Blackest Black - it's waterproof, it makes your eyelashes look incredible, enough said.
